Danica and I took these pictures at the Greystone Mansion in Los Angeles. We didn’t realize until we were leaving that you’re not supposed to do any photography there (oops, don’t tell anyone). There were so many pictures including a ton of my shoes (sorry I’m a bit obsessed) that I decided to split them into two posts. In my next post you can learn about Danica and her fashion sense.
I like this skirt because it is polished but the gold metallic floral embroidery adds a lot of interest and makes it more fun. Denim is always perfect for toning down a dressier item without it looking out of place. This chambray shirt is so soft and paper thin that it is still light enough to be warn in the summer, but will transition into fall allowing for layering.
These shoes are my favorite thing at the moment and I’m just trying to keep myself from wearing them with every single outfit, even ones the shoes wouldn’t go with. I like white heals because they add a pop yet unlike colors they are more versatile because they don’t clash with any color. Metal accents, like the toe caps on my shoes, are very big right now ‘cause they add a fun industrial detail that makes shoes and clothes seem more custom.
I finished off my look with a pearl and silver chain necklace that I thought tied in nicely with the shoes. Something with mixed metals would work nicely too, helping to make this combo of gold and silver look intentional instead of an accidental detail that got overlooked. I like this, this or this would also look good.
What would you wear these shoes with? Let me know! And don’t forget to comeback and find out about Danica!
