First Outfit

The start of this blog coincided with my birthday and the new DSLR that I got from my parents. I’ve always been obsessed with taking photos but with a brand new Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies, you can imagine that it was hard for me to switch from taking pictures of buildings to pictures of people (you’ll see both). Also, being the supremely awkward people that we are, modeling is not a skill that any of us have, so if we take 30 pictures about 6 of them end up looking normal. But since we choose to embrace our awkwardness, the awkward ones will end up in the Random Awkwardness section. In these photos we were dressed to go boating but the pictures took so long we never went out ‘cause we’re cool like that, but at least our outfits were cute.

I love mixing more tailored pieces with cheaper, more casual ones.  The J. Crew skirt is old but I love this one.  Also, I can’t help myself with giant floppy hats, if I wouldn’t look like a ridiculous Kentucky Derby reject, I would wear them everywhere with every outfit.

Shirt: Target.  Shoes: Vince Camuto via  Nordstrom.  Hat: Ted Baker via  Nordstrom.  Necklace:  BaubleBar.

Morgan tends to wear great combinations of easy but polished separates that emphasize her toned physique without being fussy or stuffy.  (Don’t mind the random paddle boarder hiding behind her).

Skirt, top and necklace: Forever 21.

Alex has an amazing collection of sundresses that give her the perfect hourglass shape.

Dress and Necklace : forever 21,  this one is cute too.  Shoes: Nordstrom Rack.
